What are some things you recommend for dry skin/eyes/lips during accutane?

i'm starting accutane next month, and i've tried pretty much everything else (proactiv, antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, topical gels, etc). they only thing that REALLY worked was bactrim (because it dried up my skin and hair) but i'm severely allergic. :(


i have VERY oily skin and hair, but mild acne (all types of acne, cystic, whiteheads, blackheads, etc).





i have dry eyes already because my crappy contacts suck out the moisture. so i'll probably have to use glasses for a few months.





but what are some intense skin moisturizers, lip balms, and eye drops that you recommend for severe dry skin?

Hmm well for skin you can get a moisturizer called UriSec which is a very, very intense moisturizer. It's not comparable to dove and aveeno and whatever other moisturizers there are out there.





For eyes, they have eye drops for people with extremely dry eyes, so you could try that, but like you said, i think it's better if you don't wear your contacts.

Get Cetaphyl. It's mild enough not to clog your pores, yet it's powerful stuff.
